Went into it blind as well with a Light Azazel Team. Here's a recap with my thoughts:
Stage 1: "Mion!? Really!? Okay." Turn 2, Sunburst Knuckle to stave off 1-second orb move time. End up Skyfalling into 12 combos w/dongs. Takes 1 more turn to finish due to another lucky skyfall to beat through <7 Combo Shield.
Stage 2: "Apuollo? Okay. Never fought you yet. Let's see what you've got."
2 Minutes later: "F$%* THIS! F$%@ THAT! F$%@ YOU AND THE F@$%@#^ HORSE YOU RODE IN ON!!!

Still going in blind.
Stage 1: "All right, Mion. Bring it!" Use Ama to heal after 99% HP cut. Fight to stay alive to wait out the 500,000 damage shield. Next turn, wrecked after popping Helper's Hermes.
Stage 2: "Get out of my face you stooge!" Pop Charite and Meridionalis. 1-turn SMASH! "MWAAHAHAHAHA!"
Stage 3:
*Sees Resolve* "That's fine"
*Locks all orbs* "That's...okay. I'll manage"
*Status Shield* "Of course. Okay."
*900% Attack* "WHAT THE F%#^$!!!"
I'm back at full HP, and manage to survive his first attack. I'm down to ~25,000 HP, and Board goes dark and orbs get locked again. I don't think this is a problem. Of course, next turn, he creates the 4 bombs, but the lower corners are locked, so I now have 2 bombs I can't match, and the Lumiel Assist board changer isn't ready yet. I die.
This is when I said "Screw it, I've got the stones to spare." Continue.
Enemy continues to make me waste my precious time moving 4 bombs from all the corners. IT IS SUPER ANNOYING WHEN THIS HAPPENS TURN AFTER TURN AFTER TURN!!!! Thankfully, I didn't die to this doofus a second time, and managed to take him down thanks to Meridionalis helping break through the combo shield at <50% HP.
Stage 4:
*I'm Your Opponent* "You don't say!"
*Does the other prememptive* >B(
Proceed to die because of the stupid orb-changing square. (Stone 2)
Get a lot of Water orbs on first turn, pop friend Hermes again. Win!
Stage 5:
"All right, you! What you got?"
*Protection of the Gods* "Obviously, duh!"
*100,000,000 Damage Shield* "BAHAHAHA! The power creep is REAL!"
Turn 1: Pop Charite and My Hermes's Lumiel Assist. (Not knowing if he would ever change his attribute. Again, blind.) Attack proceeds to take off about 9-10% of enemy health.
"Okay, I'm not sure if I even want to KNOW how many hit points this guy has. Just fight it."
Continue fighting and staying alive with help from Amaterasu and the assist on Alrecha. End up using 1 stone before he's at 50% HP.
Then, he changed his attribute, and I'm like, "Well, poop." After several more turns, however, he didn't change it any more, so I felt it safe to pop Charite again. It worked out, and he stayed as Fire attribute the rest of the fight.
After 3 more stones, I took him down. And yes, one of those was spent after he buffed his attack 10x.

So that's how I did it.
I'm sure if I were Captain Moneybags IAP-guy, I may have had a slightly easier time with it with a more polished and more powerful team. (Nothing against IAP folks, by the way. More power to ya' ^.^) But my machine pulls are what they are. I make it work out. I almost never sink stones into continues. But I missed the Tri-God mask last month because December Quest was an afterthought due to the holidays.
