3 By nathan@N17#37737 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) I don't get where people think they need to activate a skill every turn. Hero's got by just fine with this x4 mechanic. And it still works on 90% of things. The other 10% can be blasted with a skill 0 drgnwzrd#30794 5 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) This guy spikes over 15 mil no sweat http://www.padrx.com/Screenshots/1 2 By nturtle#21208 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) And Guan Yu STILL doesn't have an Ulti Evo. Get it together game developers, I mean come on. 5 Greg!#39904 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) Except that Gunma has a Wood Row, so he isn't completely useless! I also used Woodpys on mine since I had way too much to spare. But anyways, I really think it depends on the player. I personally am not comfortable with the team's low RCV, so I think I'll need some sort of survival buff; that's where Gunma comes in to proc the LS every turn. And I think that with the current meta, 4x ATK (note: with 9 connected orbs!!) just won't cut it. 6 connected orbs for 2.5x won't even kill trash mobs at some point anymore. If you bump that up to 5x for just for 6 connected orbs every turn, that'll be serious damage even for some mid-bosses. Just my two cents!... ...because that's all the money I have left after pulling in the June Bride REM and not getting Satsuki </3 0 Reverb#71029 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) And this is on Awoken Liu Bei's page rather than any of the GGY pages because...? 2 By Nnttcc#66970 5 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) Having gotten Liu Bei before awoken was released, I was pretty disappointed. But now with the new multiplayer meta out I should start farming Zeus Dios For new players: The current multiplayer meta involved two Awoken Liu Bei leaders and 6 Zeus Dios's How it works: Liu Bei's lead deals x4 damage whenever a skill is used, and x16 when matching nine wood orbs. This deals max of x64 damage. Zeus Dios has a skill that turns the board into all wood orbs and can activate Liu Bei without matching anything, and thus is called a "push button" team. On top of that, he has a multiplayer awakening that deals even more damage. If you are playing multiplayer, that means you can have up to eight nukes on your teams, and that is more than enough to kill any dungeon. The dilemma: I don't want to farm Zeus Dios The answer: Get a Gunma. Gunma is a bird that has a one turn cool down skill that will at least deal x4 damage consistently. Later on he can be replaced with harder hitters such as Tengu, who has enough skill boost to activate Zeus Dios and if he has skill transfer, himself. 1 By Guest#82949 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) ... I'd have gladly traded that jammer block for a SBR... 1 Nigel#76886 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) They don't often change the first 4 awakenings on awoken evos. SBR is nice but I think they are viewing Liu Bei as a Co-op hero. SBR isn't as important there, the %heal on the actives works well with the boosted Hp and the RCV boost on the LS makes more of a difference when you have the health to back it up. Co-op is going to be a lot more prevalent from now on so I imagine there are going to be a good amount of leaders that are challenging to build for solo unless you have the right subs but amazing for co-op 1 By Mr-ex777#91897 5 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) The man who brought dios back alive and kicking (Although Dios having a Good Uvo plays a big role too). 0 By Greg!#39904 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Can't wait to see C10 or Ultimate Arena being beaten by Reco or Paprika with only Awoken Liu Bei and Gunma lol Jokes aside, this guy is a beast! I'll probably try using him just for kicks. It's a good thing I have multiple Liu Beis, as two of them are already the Triple Dongers. Awoken Liu Bei Gunma (consistent 64x ATK and 4x RCV) Freyja (triple Rows) Perseus Gronia/Avalon Drake (Would use Australis, but I don't have it) 1 Snow#32300 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) A.Liu Bei Mitsuhide|G.Sonia U.Avalon A.Freyja|SU.Perseus Australis A.Liu Bei -------------------------------- Bind Resist 100% for leader (also cure Bind 2 Turn when active skill) 100% Bind Skill Resist 9-10 Skill Boost 16 Green Row -------------------------------- I want him for my Green ROW pt -------------------------------- I prefer Freyja for 3 reasons 1. For 2 Bind skill resist 2. I can use her skill to enchant damage when my pt cooled down skill x2 Green can clear non-boss floor (She also give you 1 turn haste) 3. I can use 128x to finish Last-floor boss -------------------------------- weak point is first turn any member can't use skill (shortest is 10 turn...) Can change Freyja to Perseus (8 turn skill) or Mitsuhide to G.Sonia (10 Skill boost) But lost 1-2 Turn haste 1 You'll almost never need the burst from Freya, so Perseus is the better choiche. Remember that both lead, drake, gronia and australis don't help to benefit from the RCV boost, since all of them take away heal orbs from the board. If you have Perseus, I'd definitely put him on your team, since only Mutsinari (I suppose you meant him), creates heal orbs with his active. As far as I know, there has never been a 64x lead for rows, and already those row teams can dish out very high damage. I'm really looking forward to the first video's of Awoken Liu Bei teams, probably dishing out 20m damage per card :-) 0 By Guest#88576 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) This is how you use awoken LiuBei. One combo kills everything. https://youtu.be/4sFmUxLbVk8 3 Practical Answer-She gives an 80% chance that Light orbs fall enhanced and a 40% chance that Fire orbs fall enhanced. More enhanced orbs on the board=more enhanced Wood orbs after Zeus Dios changes everything. Actual Answer-Because it really doesn't matter what is in that last slot so he probably just brought his waifu for moral support. Last edited by N/A 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) 0 He actually explains that he purposely put in Ars Nova for the enhanced Fire and Light orbs. It's not necessary but there's a use there. 0 Capt. Jack#42651 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) Im really dumb what does he do on the 2nd floor after the bind? 0 pretty sure he uses sasuke to unbind the other team cards. The sasuke has amaterasu's skill Last edited by Wot 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) 0 Maybe he uses Lu Bie's active, since it also clear binds? -1 Justin#47592 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) I really wanna make this now. I can't figure out why Ars Nova is on the team though. 0 By Guroga#59382 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Oh wow i didn't notice he has bind recovery too! My A. Freyja is getting the boot when this comes to me! He is orb hungry tho. 0 By Cornykova#60567 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) So here I am, super happy about my Super Ult Perseus team, and only a few months later Perseus becomes obsolete as a leader because of this guy. a 64x row lead, that's plain crazy. And he has a RCV boost, for those who think the 64x multiplier is not enough ... Basically, I can see only 1 downside to him : his active doesn't proc the RCV part of his LS, taking away heal orbs. But who cares, anyway? If you have Perseus or Michael, you can choose which turns to get the RCV boost I think this guy will be the main lead for row teams. Ow yeah, you can pair him with Awoken Artemis for a 2x HP boost, too ... 0 By grace#50923 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) He is a physical attacker? Is this so Green Guan Yu can use him? Does this mean GGY will be getting an ultimate at last? Yeah.. probably not.. 0 By Chinny#61703 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) seeing as how my Green TPA team has become as fragile as a stick with recent dungeons and I have bits and pieces of a Green Row team already, I am most definitely switching my ThreePA Liu Bei over to his awoken form. 0 By Chrispy!PF#49095 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Unbindable bind clearer. This is the green row leader you've been looking for! he is gonna wreck a lot of shtuff! 0 By Tigrr#26123 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Hah! Awoken liu bei hit so hard he knocked his uvo off of padx. He can still be found at http://puzzledragonx.com/en/monster.asp?n=1743, but he's off the evolution chart apparently. 0 By JuCombo#84897 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) Liberty Geist rofflestomp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0foHW4kIAA 0 By divddsky#82501 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) I'm guessing that this evolution is actually a downgrade on a verdandi team? The bind immune and bind recovery is nice but giving up all those 2 prongs would hurt 1 Funkln#60459 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) Yep, definitely not as great as a sub for Verdandi. But he's become a monstrous row based lead! 0 Also a good row sub, thanks to his bind clear along with 2 rows. 0 HP boost. Triple-tpa, sub-fire Liu Bei can add a large amount of damage and sizeable HP pool to a verdandi team, even if you only have one. 0 By Matt#51212 5 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) Would Gronia, Awoken Artermis x2, and Fudo be great subs for A. Liu Bei? I'm too lazy to farm Zeus Dios, but if Zeus Dios is the best then I will farm them. 0 Rocky#94944 4 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) Awoken Artemis is the better lead by far. I crush LP dungeons with a duel AA lead that Luu Bei couldn't touch. 0 By Curtis#41850 4 years ago ( 9.5.1 ) I wonder if a Reincarnated Liu Bei is in the works. I'd love to see what they would do to him. I still have him in his Restrained Dragon Hero form because it fits my style of playing better than the awoken form. Using him on a Bacetet (AceXBastet) team creates huge amounts of damage since he has triple TPA. 0 By Tyler#95971 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) Interesting that they got rid of one of his rows... Wait nvm forget what I said -1 By Illucio#73015 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) 4X Multiplier is not bad, but I hate cards that have the *activate skill for higher mutiplier* shtick. How many woods are there with a very low skill cool down or haste? 5 Justin#47592 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Gunma (the original low CD monster), Algedi, Hanuman to name a few. 2 "unless you're trying to one-shot Kali" Funny you would say that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iR9r2qtfu4 1 Freyja really shouldn't be on his team. 64x with rows is more than enough damage unless you're trying to one-shot Kali. Perseus is definitely the go-to double SBR monster for his team as he also brings extra fingers which Liu Bei is desperately in need of to be able to consistently match those large rows. Also he's not as limiting as AAsta who can only use Devils and Healers, neither of which are exactly common in green, he has built-in bind clear unlike her, and he does quite a bit more damage than her. He'll definitely be able to compete with her. Last edited by Justin 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) 0 whoops thanks for pointing that out, I'll delete my comments since it was stupid af :D 0 Hanuman would be a perfect sub for this team. But 21 skill ups is god level work there. 0 Fausto#40736 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) It's definitely an issue for a card that doesn't even have SBR, meaning you'll need ALL subs to have it, and one that has two of them to ensure you'll always have that option. 0 If you were going to do that, you could run Shotel instead, since you'd probably only need the primary attribute on floors where you're not clearing trash and then it'd be on color. Also, as with Masamune, could do some extra burst, depending on what typing the rest of your subs have. -2 By aszma#31409 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) WAIT WHERE ARE THE TRIPLE DONGERS???? I guess sense he is a duo orb changer It makes more sense for him to have rows witht he amount of green orbs that you make but he now seems very similar to perseus only better although im comparing an awoken liu bei to a super ult perseus. This is slightly disappointing for two reasons. First hes just a superior Perseus completly doing a 180 on his play style from TPA to rows, secondly it makes him not as viable on verdandi, GZL, and other attacker leaders although most of them have fallen out of meta we can expect a GZL ultimate soon sense he was released a while ago. also it destroys my quadra liu bei sakuya team lol 4 Chinny#61703 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Remember how Shiva's alternate Ults were row based? But then his Awoken form was TPA based? This is the exact opposite situation. The precedent was set a long time ago. In fact, it *somewhat* happened to Ares a few months ago. 4 Guroga#59382 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Awokens forms are always based on the base and not on the split ults. Dunno why ppl are always surprised when the awoken version is announced. Also dunno why it destroys your team. You have no reason to awaken them if you want the triple dongers. 2 Guest#82949 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Actually he'd still be viable on lot of the exact teams you have mentioned - Look at him, he recovers HP, covers binds, and has a Greco-Roman esque orb change all in one active. How could one not find that valuable on Verdandi and GZL Teams? Besides, come on - It's not like you can't use him despite him having rows and not TPAs! Look at how many people use Yamato Takeru on A. Shiva to solve binds, despite Shiva being a TPA lead! P.S: I use both Uriel and Gadius on A. Shiva for a full board change, and I have to admit, having a mix of Row and TPA subs on combo-based leads could actually increase your damage output on bursts. Last edited by N/A 5 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) 1 you ignore the fact that liu bei is the one of primary damage dealers on green teams with his three TPAs. 1 If you have the choice though, I believe most would use Vishnu over Liu Bei, or even Awoken Meimei/Verdandi/Osiris if they have to. There's so many high damage, TPA Green subs in the crrent meta it aren't even funny. Liu Bei, while looking appealing due to the 3 TPAs, is inferior to a lot of other green subs. Vishnu - Liu Bei's Triple TPA arch-nemesis. His active have a shorter CD, at 6 vs Liu Bei's 10, stacking 2 effectively means you have a constant 15% green skyfall on Awoken Bastet/Verd teams. That Time Extend will also be invaluable for Bastet, not to mention the SBR. Meimei - Although she has 2 TPAs, the board change/haste, 2 SBs, two Green OEs, and SBR makes her a much balanced choice. Osiris and Verdandi may look unappealing, but they have a huge amount of Green OEs, making their orbs HURT. Not to mention Osiris's pre-made TPA (at 4 turns) and Verdandi's full board change (9 turns) that allows you to heal WHILE attacking. -3 By € rial#42452 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) Well whattoya know, he's been collecting dust for a year in my box now, sitting all smug and hypermaxed looking at my Tsubaki/Yomidra teams obliterate dungeons he could only dream of shredding up with that big sword. And now he's got a shiny new coat of cool artwork and a new LS that makes him happy. I'm thinking "Hey, this new awoken form might get him out of the box and into the action again! Maybe then he can make use of all that extra protein from eating a bodybuilder diet of 297 eggs in under two months." And then I start banging my head against the wall when I realize that gungtroll gave him a LS designed for IAP ppl, multiplayer users, or those who have a skilled-up Gunma. And that in addition they took away his precious triple dongs and gave him some rows that really only justifies using him with row-based leads - exactly the green team meta that I've been missing out on for the last year. I mean, one could skill up a Gunma but even then you need 6 orbs per turn to get the bare minimum of the other half of the LS going. Which practically mandates a skill every turn or alot of hasty orb changers. Well, better luck next time. But I'll probably let this guy gather some more dust in Awoken form until I get a wood leader that I'm satisfied with. Last edited by € rial 5 years ago ( 9.0.3 ) |

Enough with the hype of adding Gunma though...Most teams have all actives up by turn 3 or 4. With 1 or 2 actives up right away.
When I got Princess Valkitty I was like....oooh I NEED Gunma. After about the first five minutes running the dungeon for its evo mats, I realized that there are way more things I could do in game than the painstaking effort it takes to fully evo and max that bird. Putting in Gunma sacrifices a lot of useful awakenings as well as a more useful active skill. Besides Plessie Bean does the exact same thing and all you have to do is find a friend or two that'll send a present pull.
Just saying....In today's meta Gunma really doesn't offer anything for the sacrifice of putting it on a team.
I actually never used either plessie or gunma...sold em off for box space cause they are useless mid - late game. There are way better options out there.
