3 By ------_#63955 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) can they add the resolve-break awakening onto this, in place for one of the heart enhances? That would be fitting seeing the active, as well as the heroine status. 3 By Ixzine#88054 4 years ago ( 12.0.3 ) With the Heart Enhance buff which makes Heart Enhance awakenings increase the healing of 4matches by x1.5 per awakening, this card heals x2.25 with a heart 4match. This puts her RCV value at +99 at around 3884. To put this into perspective, before increasing Mel's RCV further, this is already higher than the RCV value of an Apolluo with an Apolluo inherit and 3 RCV+ latents (3542). By inheriting Mizutsune (+150) and equipping 3 RCV+ latents (+47.1 each, +141.3), Mel reaches a total of 632.3 RCV value. 632.3 x 11.390625 = 7202.2921875, the highest RCV value in the game. Of course, as this requires a 4match, the actual base RCV value is 9002.865234375. Other cards are welcome to multiply their RCV by 1.25x, they won't compare. Beyond this point, the realistic RCV will vary a lot depending on the amount of enhanced heart orbs used in the match, the amount of Heart Enhance awakenings present in total on the team, the number of combos, and more. The takeaway is that with such an extreme amount of Heart Enhance awakenings, Mel can facilitate an emergency healing role on any team her colors and typing aren't a total liability, making her especially good for leaders with HP mults but no RCV mult, in dungeons with multiple gravities, or against Poison Orb blobs. Her offensive potential is limited on teams that prefer to spike with 7c or TPAs, but not miniscule, and she offers no time extends, but her active creates a FUA or guarantees 2 heart combos on a board of 1, 2, or 3 offensive colors. Leaders she fits like a glove on are heart cross leaders (Ronove, Myr Regalia Rei, Sumire), Julie, Raijin, SS Isis, Nene, Acubens, and Mel herself. 2 By Dragonborn#93844 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) NA finally gets a Juggler... A very pretty juggler. I will use this everywhere possible. As a lead, an Urd sub, etc. But can't wait to attempt a lead with her. The added recovery from the +heart orbs is actually very useful. 0 Allow me to explain. If you are able to obtain the unbindable leads badge, then Mel can be all you need. She has decent HP, and when building a team focusing on board changers who produce hearts, much like Armor Ana, Momiji, Sylvie, etc. You will already have enough HP to resist most preemptives. Also, since you are focused on getting heart combos to begin with and will have excess Rcv with dual leads(enhanced heat awakenings), you can easily repair damage. To surmise; yes their are plenty of higher multipliers where the leaders are unbindable by themselves, but getting two heart combos is just so much easier (for me) than heart crosses or most other party tricks. And 1/49/2.02 is normally plenty for me to clear just about anything. So, Mel is a perfectly acceptable lead in place of Juggler if you have her lead a good team. Last edited by Dragonborn 4 years ago ( 11.0.2 ) 0 Last time I checked, Armor Ana broke hearts, and didn't make hearts.......and also Mel is just worse compared to other heal orb leaders. The main thing I'm thinking of is heart cross leaders. They both use hearts, and need an overall less amount of hearts, at a better reward for matching said hearts. Myr does the same amount of damage, for 5 instead of 6 hearts, AND gives you a 50% shield. Oh and you also are unbindable and don;t need to waste your awoken badge slot on an unbindable badge. 0 I was talking about Armor Ace Typhon, my bad. But at any rate, on any given board, making 2 heal combos allows for more versatility than heart crosses. I enjoy playing with both, but have noticed that when you are trying for a cross it prevents you from getting the sheer amount of TPAs and/or rows you could achieve if you only have to set up the board for two heal combos instead. Even on a 7/6 board two heals keeps more available. This will be especially true concerning the new follow up attack awakening. 0 Yes, you can use TPAs and making 2 Heal Combos is more space efficient, but Myr is very usable in Co-op, since she is unbindable, and does not rely on awoken badges. Mel as a lead relies heavily on an unbindable leaders badge. Myr's active is also so much synergistic with her leader skill, since she produces enough hearts to make a heart cross, while Mel only produces 5, while she needs 6 to activate damage. Mel did get a buff to her leader skill, giving her a shield when matching 2 heals, giving you a shield that reduces damage to 56.25% of the original. Myr gives a 75% shield, effectively giving you 4x HP. Myr is also much more accessible to the average player compared to Mel, being a farmable monster that is obtainable at anytime through coin dungeons. Mel is only obtainable through the Heroine Egg Machine, that has only come to NA 2 times. Yes, her evo materials are difficult to get, but even the first stage Uvo is better than Mel because you get the same damage, more shield, and for less orbs. Heart crosses are more awkward to make, but becomes second nature after a few days of practice 0 I can see your point. It is going to be interesting to see how Mel's active affects her use now that the follow up awakening is here though. -2 Yegunn#65138 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) No where near Juggler. Juggler was strong at the time because he had easy activation for a (at the time) high multiplier and was unbindable. This card has a lot of heart enhances but that doesn't really do much. No tankiness, bind-prone, overall weaker awakenings. 2 By Sonofyin#8820 4 years ago ( 11.1.1 ) Stupidest idea I could come up with: 5 of these max skill on a team with the 6th unit having resolve killer follow up ATK awoken. No Skyfall Combo badge. Go into an easy dungeon and pop Mel's skill every turn. Kill only with the follow up ATK. Luxurious and stupid. >:) 1 By DKnight#59554 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) Hmm... I guess with her ultimate, she's now a niche sub for Sniper at Rest, Myr (summer myr). Her active will guarantee BMyr can make a heart cross and now the stats are decent enough that she is no longer a dud roll. 1 By Mr Wiggles#26061 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) Seems like a good lead to pair with SumMyr or Sumire (if you don't own either), a little tough to make a heart cross and another heart combo and a 5 Blue with 1 enhance (and a TPA if you've got 9+ Blue orbs)... SumMyr friend is better so you don't need the enhanced 5 :P But at least Mel makes the heart cross part easy every 5 turns 1 By Jun#79921 4 years ago ( 9.6.3 ) a very good sub for ronove imo. covers both fire and water, makes heart, a skill boost, skill ressit, 6 enchnated heart to ensurre all hearts fall are + and increase healing. A solid sub. 1 By Ixzine#88054 4 years ago ( 11.1.1 ) Keep Mel in your heart as an RMyr sub if your box is lacking the juicier options but you want to run RMyr as a leader. She has an amazing active for heart cross leaders and her colors work with Urd. This leader is still pretty good, if lagging behind as time goes on, and I'm sure someone will actually look at them with the +3 seconds and easy high multiplier and go "HUH, this MIGHT work." Don't look for other Mels. Just don't bother. Instead, pair with Diablos! I know it's stunning advice. But +3 seconds and 7x6 pair together nicely, you double up on shields, the leader skills work well together, Mel will now activate herself on non-locked boards after hearts are taken away, AND Mel helps cover 4 out of 5 guard break colors. 0 By Dean#54979 4 years ago ( 11.0.2 ) Sooooo with the damage reduction buff she actually becomes a half decent leader. I Thought up a team from my limited subs and I got: Mel Rozuel (3 TPA, Heart maker with low cooldown) Summer Urd (Water + heart + fire board change + TPA) Urd (Water + heart + fire board change + TPA) Sumire (water and heart maker with low cooldown and haste) Last edited by Dean 4 years ago ( 11.0.2 ) |
