In JP v7.0, GungHo added the PADW game mode. This new game mode is an add-on to the main game, so it will run in the same app. Magic Stone count will also be shared between the two game modes.
As most PAD players will recognize, this is simply a larger PAD board, measuring 6x6 for 36 orbs. The board allows for higher combo counts (up to a maximum of 12, provided you're lucky), but is also absolutely necessary due to the new orbs and special skill orbs that drop down. The guide will explain the purpose of various skill orbs that will appear, the avatar effects, where you can get them, the REM and general strategy.
The gameplay system is not that different from normal PAD. However, instead of raising monsters and using their skills directly, your Tamadra can wear avatar clothing. The avatars increase the chances of a corresponding skill orb dropping down, at which point you can either store them somewhere on the board, or activate them immediately. Instead of HP, you have a turn count that dictates how many turns you're allowed to take before the game forcibly ends (Game Over). Hearts no longer replenish health, but instead replenish turn count, increasing TC by 1 for every heart combo (note that this means there's no difference between matching 3 hearts and 15 in 1 combo, they will only replenish 1 TC). To damage the enemy, you must match the requirements shown above the timer and match extra combos in addition for extra damage. Defeating enemies will reward you with an egg (avatar piece) or chest (medals).
There are also 2 new orb types, Angel orbs and Jammer orbs / . Angel orbs are simply duds, they're there to serve as a simple obstruction like normal PAD jammer orbs. PADW Jammer orbs however, don't disappear by matching themselves. To get rid of Jammers, you will need to place them beside another combo, for example:

Remove orbs the same way you would in Puzzle & Dragons!
Replenish the turn count by every Heart combo!
Dress up your Tamadra with them!
|
Attack the enemy and take back the eggs!
Use the medals to pull the REM and get "avatamas"!
There's a special stage that will get you a lot of medals!

Avatars increase the chances of a certain skill orb dropping down, at which point you can either store them somewhere on the board, or activate them immediately. They can be leveled up by simply acquiring a copy of it. By leveling up, the chances of the corresponding skill orb appearing will increase dramatically.

Stones and Medals and the REM |
Stones are only used for continuing and replenishing stamina in PADW, they're not used for pulling the REM.
Medals can be earned by clearing stages and defeating enemies.
Medals are only used to pull the REM, which consists of 5000 and 50000 pulling modes.
5000 - all eggs can appear from this mode, with probability decreasing in proportion to increasing rarity.
50000 - only star eggs and above will appear from this mode.
